What to build

Win on reliability alone, then market it explicitly against the incumbent.

Complaint themes

• Crashes & stability

Basic reliability is missing; this is the cheapest wedge to out-execute on.

  Horrible app

  THIS APP SUCKS

• Aggressive paywall

Value is gated before users feel it; trust is destroyed at the worst moment.

  So far so good!

Even though I was sneak-charged for a year, I have only gotten 6 months of pro.

• Onboarding barrier

Users churn before reaching the value moment; better onboarding lifts retention.

Works fine, just a few issues with it

  Please read important information!

• Performance

Perceived performance is a quality bar the incumbent has stopped meeting.

Amazing app! Yet a crucial glitch..
